Self-taught in Java code, Dawson built and maintains Adorable Hamster Pets, a new multi-loader Minecraft mod that has achieved over half a million downloads in just 6 months. His work on this project spans custom entities, AI and pathfinding, data tracking, and networking. Among other features, he developed a responsive, physics-based shoulder-hamster dynamic animation system, a deterministic, area-coherent wind-driven leaf particle effect, and a full GeckoLib animation suite that powers all the polished interactions with the hamsters and other items.
