How Image Restoration Works

Image restoration needs no introduction, but you may be wondering— just how much can really be done to save a very damaged image? With the help of Generative AI, the possibilities are endless. You can see some extreme examples above, as well as more moderate examples where I simply removed JPEG compression artifacts, for which Facebook is notorious.

How Your Quote Works:

Once I understand what you need me to do, I'll send you a quote. Your quote will be based on my hourly rate for this service, and it will not only include my time spent working on your image but also some wiggle room for minor revisions under 15 minutes. For the most part, time spent in communication with you regarding your instructions for the project is free of charge.

Keep in mind that your quote is at most an educated guess, as there are an immense number of variables that can affect how long it takes to complete an image restoration project— not to mention changes/additions/revisions you choose to make along the way.

Make sure to check out my Policies page and FAQs page for more information.

How payment works:

For payment, I'll email you an invoice which will reflect the most recent quote I gave you. If you're curious about how it works and what to look for when I send it, you can find the instructions for finding and paying your invoice here.

When I send the invoice, it will come from dawson@fortheking.design. I'll notify you when I send it so make sure to check spam if you don't see it.

Time for some expectation setting.

Although it differs in complexity from some of my other services, a project like this can still be a back-and-forth sort of thing. Maybe someday we will be able to neurally link our brains together and you can imprint your exact vision on my mind, but until then there may be more than one iteration.

The timeline for completing an image restoration project can vary significantly, ranging from a few hours to sometimes even 12 business days. This is primarily due to:

1) the complexity of your project,

2) any modifications you wish to make during the process,

3) and the speed at which you're able to provide feedback.

As large as this range is, it's the most precise timeline I can provide without knowing the details of your project and how promptly you will provide your valuable feedback.

And now moving on to what I need from you:

Please fill out this form (if you haven't already) so that I can add you to the system.

Wow. That was easy.

That's it! Let me know if you have any questions.
