By purchasing and downloading digital art from For the King, you (the “Licensee”) agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Digital Art License Agreement.
1. Grant of License
I, Dawson Bodenhamer, the Licensor, grant you, the Licensee, a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the digital art for personal, non-commercial purposes only. This license is valid worldwide— yes, even in the Bermuda Triangle— but it does not include the right to sublicense, distribute, or resell the digital art.
2. Permitted Uses
You may use the digital art for the following purposes:
Personal projects, such as personal, non-commercial websites, blogs, social media, or home printing. (This excludes websites or blogs that generate revenue through advertising, affiliate links, or other means.)
Personal display on electronic devices, such as computers, tablets, or phones.
Minor modifications for personal use, such as resizing or cropping to fit a specific device or print size.
3. Prohibited Uses
You are expressly prohibited from:
Reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing the digital art in any form.
Using the digital art for commercial purposes, including but not limited to selling products, merchandise, or creating derivative works intended for sale.
Substantively modifying, altering, or creating derivative works based on the digital art without prior written consent from the Licensor.
Sharing the digital art with others in any manner that would allow them to use the art outside the scope of this agreement.
Summoning ancient deities using the artwork as a ritual focus. This has only happened once, but I’d rather not talk about it.
4. Ownership
The digital art remains my exclusive property. This agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to you; it only grants a limited license to use the art under the terms specified. No matter how much you stare at it, whisper to it, or attempt to bribe it with snacks, it will never legally belong to you.
5. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. I may terminate this license immediately if you breach any of the terms outlined in this agreement. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the digital art and destroy any copies in your possession. If you hear ominous chanting in the distance at the exact moment of termination, that is purely coincidental.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The digital art is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. I am not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the digital art, including but not limited to lost profits, lost savings, or any incidental, consequential, or special damages.
7. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Texas. Any legal actions, claims, or disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Texas. If you challenge this in a trial by combat, please note that I have dabbled in the art of swashbuckling.
